Finding the right fit in a pair of boots is not just about size — it’s about how they feel, how they move, and how they become part of you over time.
At First Atelier, we curate boots that balance craftsmanship and comfort. This guide will help you understand how a proper fit should look and feel from the very first step.
How Should They Feel
A well-fitting boot should feel snug — not tight. When you first slip them on, the leather will gently hold your foot in place.
As you walk, you may notice a slight lift at the heel. This is completely natural and part of how a properly structured boot functions.
Toe Box
Your toes should have room to move freely without feeling cramped. They should not press against the front of the boot.
Instep
The instep should feel like a firm handshake — secure, but not restrictive.
Heel
A slight heel lift is expected when you walk — typically around a quarter to half an inch.
The right pair won’t just fit — it will feel like it was always meant to be yours.
