The Atelier Flor del Alba BootAtelier No. 10. Handcrafted in velvety Honey Suede with scarlet floral embroidery. Designed for the woman who carries the warmth of the sunrise with her.

The Story

La Flor del Alba ("The Flower of Dawn") was born in quiet morning light. A table scattered with sketches, and red thread pulled through pale suede. This is not a night boot; this is a dawn boot—soft, tactile, and full of new fire.

We selected this Honey Suede for its unique relationship with light. Unlike smooth leather, the napped surface (gamuza) creates a depth that makes the vibrant scarlet embroidery feel organic, as if the flowers are blooming directly from the earthen-toned hide.

The morning is hers. The world follows.

Design Inspiration

Sunrise on pale highland stone. A red flower pinned against white linen. The decisive moment at first light when presence is established. La Flor del Alba is that moment, translated into hand-stitched suede.

Design Notes

Materials

  • Upper: Premium Honey Suede (Gamuza). A luxurious, napped leather offering immediate tactile softness and a rich matte finish.
  • Embroidery: Scarlet-silk floral motifs inspired by high-desert blooms at first light.
  • Lining: Supple natural calfskin — breathable and engineered for all-day thermal comfort.
  • Sole: Genuine leather outsole with hand-stitched welt and traditional edge finishing.
  • Heel: ~1.75" classic stacked leather western heel, balanced for a grounded lift.

Signature Details

  • The Artistry: 12" shaft with hand-guided embroidery that wraps in a blooming architectural pattern up the leg.
  • The Toe: Refined Snip Toe — feminine, elongated, and designed to sharpen the silhouette.
  • The Finish: The natural nap of the suede creates a depth of color impossible to replicate with industrial leathers.

Wearing Experience

  • Fit: Crafted on an atelier-specific last designed for a refined silhouette. Most clients take their usual US size. If you are between sizes or prefer extra room in the toe box, we recommend sizing up by half.
  • Break-in: The suede is naturally softer and more pliable than full-grain leather; it holds its line but softens naturally within 1 wear.
  • Care (Important): Use a specialized suede brush to lift dust and restore the nap. **Do not use regular shoe polish.** We recommend applying a suede protector spray before the first wear.

The Mark of Craftsmanship

Each pair is cut, stitched, and finished by master bootmakers in León, Guanajuato. Working with suede requires a master's hand to ensure embroidery is precise without crushing the hide's texture. Every petal is a signature of authentic origin.

NOTE ON PROVENANCE

This piece begins as a singular hide—no two alike. Natural variations in pattern and tone are not imperfections, but the signature of origin—a quiet record ensuring your pair is truly one-of-a-kind.

FAQ

Is suede difficult to maintain?

Not with the right tools. A simple suede brush removes most dust and restores the nap. Avoid heavy mud to preserve the velvety honey finish.

Can I wear this with formal dresses?

Absolutely. The honey suede and scarlet embroidery pair perfectly with ivory lace or bohemian-chic dresses. The texture adds a romantic, artisanal touch to any look.

Is the Snip Toe too narrow?

The last is engineered for a feminine fit that provides a sharp look without pinching. If you have a wider foot, we recommend sizing up half a size for optimal comfort.
