The Atelier Rumbo Boot — handcrafted in Saddle Tan Full-Grain Leather. An anchor of the City & Field Series, rooted in honest materials and the promise of a journey. Atelier No. 75 marks a moment of absolute direction.

The Story

A ship is safe in the harbor, but that is not what ships are built for. El Rumbo ("The Course") was selected for the journey outward — where preparation gives way to presence.

We selected Full-Grain "Saddle Tan" leather, the most honest and resilient grade of hide available. Unlike corrected leathers, this surface is left natural, ready to absorb the sunlight of the coast and the grit of the city, developing a rich, personalized patina that documents your path.

Materials

Vamp: Full-Grain Cowhide in Saddle Tan. Smooth, uncorrected leather known for its superior breathability and structural integrity.
Lining: Supple Calfskin throughout, ensuring a cool, breathable environment for the foot in any climate.
Sole: Goodyear Welted Leather Sole fitted with a durable rubber graft for longevity and traction.
Heel: Stacked Hardwood with a rich, contrasting finish that emphasizes the handcrafted nature of the boot.

Signature Details

The Toe: Sharp Western Square Toe that lends an architectural, masculine profile to the silhouette.
The Finish: Semi-matte surface that respects the hide's origin; it can be polished for formality or left to weather naturally.
Pull Tabs: Woven loops with distinct detailing, reinforced for function and the daily ritual of departure.

Wearing Experience

Fit: Crafted on an atelier-specific last. Most clients take their usual US size. If you are between sizes or prefer a more relaxed feel for your daily journey, we recommend sizing up by half.
Break-in: Structured at first; the robust full-grain leather warms and molds naturally after 2–3 wears as the hide settles to your unique stride.
Care: Clean with a damp cloth; condition with neutral leather cream to keep the hide hydrated without darkening the natural tan.
