The Story

It begins in low light — a bench, sketches of wings, and charcoal lines tracing flight. Mariposa Nocturna ("The Night Butterfly") is built in quiet hours by steady hands.

We selected this piece for its profound texture. Unlike smooth leather, the rich brown suede (gamuza) absorbs light, giving the boot an organic, velvety depth. The intricate embroidery of butterflies and vines doesn't just sit on the surface; it feels rooted in the material, like a relief carved from stone.

She appears beneath stone arches at dusk, the suede softening the edges of her silhouette. This boot isn’t meant to shine; it’s meant to be felt.

Design Inspiration

The velvety texture of a moth's wing. The deep earth tones of a forest floor at twilight. Rebirth through organic form. Mariposa Nocturna is a tactile journey in thread and napped leather.

Materials

• Upper: Premium Brown Suede (Gamuza). A luxurious, napped leather offering a soft hand-feel and a deep matte finish.
• Embroidery: Intricate butterfly and vine motifs stitched in rose-silk and soft gold thread for architectural contrast.
• Lining: Smooth calfskin inside for breathable comfort across changing temperatures.
• Sole: Genuine leather outsole with hand-stitched welt and polished architectural edge.
• Heel: ~1.75" stacked leather western heel, providing a stable, grounded center of gravity.

Signature Details

• The Shaft: 12" height with wing-like scrollwork — symmetry and movement translated into thread.
• The Toe: Classic Snip Toe for an elongated, feminine, and sharp silhouette.
• The Finish: The natural nap of the suede evolves and softens further with every wear, recording your journey.

Wearing Experience

• Fit: Crafted on an atelier-specific last designed for a refined silhouette. Most clients take their usual US size. If you are between sizes or prefer a relaxed fit for the snip toe, we recommend sizing up by half.
• Break-in: The suede is naturally softer and more pliable than full-grain leather; it holds its line but softens within 1–2 wears.
• Care (Important): Use a specialized suede brush to restore the nap. Do not use regular shoe polish. We highly recommend applying a suede protector spray before the first wear.
